The beach faces east-southeast and receives waves averaging 1.6 m. The locality of Pacific Palms is bounded by Smiths Lake to the south and the Booti Booti National Park to the north, and includes the suburbs of Smiths Lake, Blueys Beach, Elizabeth Beach and Boomerang Beach and Booti Booti.
